Google Profili

Google profil je jednostavno, kako se predstaviti na Google proizvodima ostalim Google korisnicima. To Vam omogućuje kontrolu kako se pojaviti na Google-u i reći drugima malo više o tome ko ste. Sa Google profilom možete jednostavno podeliti svoje web sadržaje na jednoj centralnoj lokaciji. Možete uključiti, na primer, linkove ka svom blogu, online fotografijama, i drugim profilima, kao što su Facebook, LinkedIn, i još mnogo toga. Imate kontrolu nad onim što drugi vide. Vaš profil neće prikazati privatne informacije, osim ako ste to izričito dodali.

Takođe, možete dozvoliti ljudima da Vas lakše pronađu, omogućujući Vašem profilu Google pretragu pod Vašim imenom. Jednostavno podesite na Vašem profilu da javno prikazuje Vaše ime.

Ako ste pisali na Google Maps, stvarali članke na Google Knol, delili Google Reader sadržaje, ili dodavali knjige na Google Book Search library, možda već imate profil. Pogledajte i prilagodite svoj profil.

Google forbidden in corporations

One of my Internet buddies just told me that he received company wide email saying that Google Chrome if forbidden for use at work.

This is probably because of Google's End User License Agreement:

11. Content license from you

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services and may be revoked for certain Services as defined in the Additional Terms of those Services.

11.2 You agree that this license includes a right for Google to make such Content available to other companies, organizations or individuals with whom Google has relationships for the provision of syndicated services, and to use such Content in connection with the provision of those services.

11.3 You understand that Google, in performing the required technical steps to provide the Services to our users, may (a) transmit or distribute your Content over various public networks and in various media; and (b) make such changes to your Content as are necessary to conform and adapt that Content to the technical requirements of connecting networks, devices, services or media. You agree that this license shall permit Google to take these actions.

11.4 You confirm and warrant to Google that you have all the rights, power and authority necessary to grant the above license.

In other words, by posting anything (via Chrome) to your blog(s), any forum, video site, myspace, itunes, or any other site that might happen to be supporting you, Google can use your work without paying you a dime. They can go and edit it all they want. Even further, you’re claiming that you have the power to grant these rights. So no one who works for Conde Nast (Wired, Arstechnica), TechCrunch, Gawker, any of the other big web publishers, or a university where the employee is performing research can agree to the Chrome ToS because they most likely don’t have the right to give a license to the IP (intellectual property) they produce.
Most likely your employee or student agreement requires that your employer/university exclusively owns all IP that you make during your time there. Many employment contracts require that the employee signs away exclusive rights to all IP they create during work hours and anything created off hours related to their employer’s business. Students get their credit because the university typically gets copyrights to any writings and exclusive patent rights to any research and inventions. This means that many content creators (news writers, song writers, artists, copy editors, musicians, students) cannot legally agree to these ToS because they’d be in breach of their employment/student contracts.

Beogradska Akademija Racunarskih Nauka (BARN) menja ime u ITS (Information Technology School)

Beogradska Akademija Racunarskih Nauka (BARN) je zbog akreditacije morala da izbaci "Akademija" iz naziva, te je ime ove samostalne visokoskolske ustanove promenjeno u ITS (Information Technology School). Formalni naziv ovog fakulteta je "Visoka Skola Strukovnih Studija za Informacione Tehnologije".

Visual Studio & Expression Studio - the dynamic duo

Expression Web is part of Expression Studio, a whole new set of products designed with UI designers in mind. Over the years, as software development has evolved, the development of software has been evolving towards more specialized but interactive, inter-related disciplines, that is, code development and UI development. UI development is a kind of hybrid of pure graphic design and technology, including such technical concepts as usability as well as elegance of style. It does, however, require a certain understanding of programming technology as well, as there is a relationship between the UI and the business logic in any application. UI developers/designers must have some understanding of the technology they design for, but not nearly as much as business developers. Microsoft has seen this happening, and is splitting the development software arena into 2 related sets of software. The Expression Studio family of products is design-intensive, but not strong for coding. The Visual Studio and development products are code-intensive and not strong for design, thereby making each an ideal set of tools for the audience it was created for.

This schism of design and development is particularly apparent in web applications, as they have evolved from pure document/layout to full-fledged application software that is document-centric, over the past dozen years.

It's a Batman...

Uleteli mi slepi misevi u dnevnu sobu. Ima ih makar 2-3. Da nisam gledao na Discovery-ju kako je to kad ti se slepi mis zakaci za glavu, onda bih usao u sobu i pokusao bih da ih nekako isteram, jel'te. :> Medjutim, morao sam da gledam kako je to kad se zakaci za coveka, i sad mi je frka. :) Moj drug je imao iskustva sa (jednim) slepim misem - Umotao se u cebe, upalio svetlo, otvorio prozor, slepi mis izasao. Kaze da ga je slepi mis non-stop "lupao" po glavi preko tog cebeta (valjda navaljivao dok je tako leprsao oko njega :) ) dok nije izasao. E sad,Nisam morao da se smotam u cebe pa da se krsim po sobi, jer je prozor vec otvoren, a prekidac za svetlo je odmah do ulaza u dnevnoj sobi, tako da sam otvorio vrata na brzaka, lupio u prekidac, i zatvorio vrata. :) Izasao sam napolje i popeo se do prozora (prvi sprat) da pomerim zavesu, cisto da napravim vise prostora za eventualni izlazak. :)Izadjem napolje da nagledam situaciju, i imam sta da vidim - Roj slepih miseva orgija po sobi, dok tri sijalice od 100w biju iz lustera. :) Ne bih vise da izlazim napolje, tako da cu samo da odskrinem vrata od dnevne sobe, da vidim kakvo je stanje. Samo sek'......Mirno... :) Odskrinuo sam jos malo, i vidim jednog kako visi na zavesi, mada, njegova leva polovina mi je neobicno veca od desne, nekako nabudzena... Mozda su dva, jedan do drugog? :) Stvarno ne znam, nagadjam samo. Mozda je Paranoja iz Las Vegasa vec pocela da radi svoje :), ali nisam siguran dal' je jos jedan s druge strane zavese... crni mi se nesto... :)
